M Series Rotary valves
What is the M Series Blower Airlock?
The M Series Blower Airlock, also known as rotary valve, star feeder, rotary feeder, airlock or cell wheel, is a key component in pneumatic conveying systems. Featuring a cylindrical body and a rotor supported by bearings, it transfers the product from the top inlet to the bottom air channel. Here, the product meets the blower air stream and is conveyed through the pneumatic pipeline, ensuring controlled material flow and air-tight operation.
Applications and Advantages
The M Series Blower Airlock is widely used under silos, hoppers, big bags, and containers for volumetric dosing and controlled product discharge. It is also applied in jet pulse filters for the removal of dust, fibers, and shavings. In industrial processes such as drying, grinding, mixing, and storage, it ensures safe product transfer into pneumatic lines. Key features include high sealing performance, easy maintenance, material variety (cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum), and resistance up to 300 °C.
Transferable Materials
This airlock can handle a wide range of bulk solids: from cement, coal, calcite, glass powder, fertilizer, PVC, and plastic granules to food products such as wheat, corn, rice, pulses, coffee, sugar, nuts, and spices. With various rotor and coating options (chrome, Teflon, tungsten), the M Series Blower Airlock offers reliable solutions even for abrasive, flammable, or heat-sensitive materials.
