What is an Airlock?

An airlock (Rotary Valve, Star Feeder, Cell Wheel, Eklüs) is a critical equipment used in pneumatic conveying and filtration systems to control product flow. A bladed rotor rotates inside a cylindrical housing and discharges the material regularly from the outlet, ensuring airtight operation and preventing product loss.

Applications

Airlocks are widely used under silos, bunkers, screw conveyors, mixers, cyclones, dust collectors, and big bag filling systems. They provide precise dosing, controlled discharging, and process isolation in industries such as food, chemicals, mining, energy, and agriculture.
