Q Series Air Lock - Rotary
What is an Airlock?
An airlock (rotary valve, star feeder, cell wheel, rotary feeder) is a vital device for the controlled transfer of powders and granules in industrial processes. The rotor blades inside the cylindrical body regulate product flow from top to bottom, preventing air leakage and ensuring stable system pressure. It is widely used for cement, coal dust, grains, flour, plastic granules, coffee, sugar, and many other bulk materials.

Application Areas
Airlocks are installed under silos, bunkers, and tanks to discharge products with volumetric dosing. They are also essential in dust collection filters, cyclones, and pneumatic conveying systems to separate materials from airflow. Additionally, they control product entry and discharge in conveyors, mixers, dryers, grinders, cookers, and packaging systems. Airlocks are also used for precise filling of big bags, sacks, and containers.
Technical Features & Advantages
Makilus airlocks are manufactured in stainless steel, cast iron, or aluminum to meet diverse process requirements. Options include 316 stainless steel, chrome, Teflon, or tungsten coatings.
